Vice Security Officer Continued Training
Congratulations on your decision to start your career as a security officer with vice protection services!
BEFORE YOU TAKE THE COURSE
To become an unarmed security officer in the state of Florida you must:
- Be at least 18 years old,
- Be a citizen or legal resident alien of the U.S. or have been granted authority to work in the U.S. by the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
- and complete the required security guard training
To begin the licensing process for the unarmed security guard certification, you must first successfully complete a minimum of 40 hours of professional training at a Security Officer School or Training Facility licensed by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS).
Once the training is completed, you should start the application process. You will need:
- Proof of training
- A passport style photograph
- A legible set of fingerprints
- Fees
